About This Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimise SQL Server databases
  • Design and implement backup and recovery strategies
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Implement security protocols and access controls
  • Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripts
  • Document database structures and procedures

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years experience as DBA with SQL Server/MySQL
  • Strong knowledge of database design and normalisation
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python or Bash scripting
  • Understanding of HIPAA/data protection regulations
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management
